Email Verification
Every participant verifies their email address before voting. This ensures each vote comes from a real person and prevents duplicate submissions from the same account.
Self-Reported Relationship
Participants self-report their relationship to Huntington (resident, business owner, visitor, etc.) to provide context for the data. These relationships are not independently verified.
One Vote Per Account
Each verified account may cast exactly one vote. Votes cannot be changed after submission. This keeps results simple and transparent.
Score Formula
The public sentiment score is calculated from the ratio of supporting, opposing, and neutral votes. The formula is straightforward: each vote counts equally regardless of the voter self-reported category.
Informal Nature
This platform is informal and non-scientific. It is not a representative survey. Results reflect the opinions of those who choose to participate and should not be treated as a census or poll.
